Design structure: BOPP/VMCPP
Design reason: BOPP and VMCPP are both scratch-resistant, BOPP has good printability and high gloss. VMCPP has good barrier properties, retains fragrance and blocks moisture. CPP also has better oil resistance.
Packaging requirements: odorless and tasteless, low temperature sealing, anti-sealing contamination, good barrier properties, moderate price.
Design structure: KPA/S-PE
Design reason: KPA has excellent barrier properties, good strength and toughness, high fastness when combined with PE, is not easy to break, and has good printability. Modified PE is a blend of multiple PEs (co-extrusion), with low heat sealing temperature and strong sealing contamination resistance.
Packaging requirements: good barrier properties, strong light-shielding properties, oil resistance, high strength, odorless and tasteless, and sturdy packaging.
Design structure: BOPP/EXPE/VMPET/EXPE/S-CPP
Design reason: BOPP has good rigidity, good printability and low cost. VMPET has good barrier properties, blocks light, oxygen, and water. S-CPP has good low-temperature heat sealability and oil resistance.
Packaging requirements: long shelf life, aroma and taste preservation, resistance to oxidation and deterioration, and resistance to moisture absorption and caking.
Design structure: BOPP/VMPET/S-PE
Design reason: BOPP has good printability, good gloss, good strength and affordable price. VMPET has good barrier properties, avoids light, has good toughness, and has a metallic luster. It is better to use enhanced PET aluminum plating, with a thick AL layer. S-PE has good anti-pollution sealing properties and low-temperature heat sealing properties.
Packaging requirements: Prevent deterioration, discoloration, and odor, which means preventing the oxidation of the protein, chlorophyll, catechin, and vitamin C contained in green tea.
Design structure: BOPP/AL/PE, BOPP/VMPET/PE, KPET/PE
Design reason: AL foil, VMPET, and KPET are all materials with excellent barrier properties, and have good barrier properties against oxygen, water vapor, and odors. AK foil and VMPET are also excellent in light protection. The product is moderately priced.
6. Edible oil
Packaging requirements: Anti-oxidative deterioration, good mechanical strength, high burst resistance, high tear strength, oil resistance, high gloss, transparency
Design structure: PET/AD/PA/AD/PE, PET/PE, PE/EVA/PVDC/EVA/PE, PE/PEPE
Design reasons: PA, PET, and PVDC have good oil resistance and high barrier properties. PA, PET, and PE have high strength, and the inner PE layer is special PE, which has good resistance to sealing pollution and high sealing performance.
Packaging requirements: good barrier properties, high burst resistance, light protection, good heat sealability, and moderate price.
Design structure: white PE/white PE/black PE
Design reason: The outer PE layer has good gloss and high mechanical strength, the middle PE layer is the strength bearer, and the inner layer is a heat sealing layer, which has light protection, barrier and heat sealing properties.
Packaging requirements: anti-water absorption, anti-oxidation, resistant to lumps in the product after vacuuming, and preservation of the volatile and easily oxidized aroma of coffee.
Design structure: PET/PE/AL/PE, PA/VMPET/PE
Reasons for design: AL, PA, and VMPET have good barrier properties, blocking water and gas, and PE has good heat sealing properties.
9. Chocolate packaging
Packaging requirements: good barrier properties, light-proof, beautiful printing, low temperature heat sealing.
Design structure: pure chocolate varnish/ink/white BOPP/PVDC/cold sealant brownie varnish/ink/VMPET/AD/BOPP/PVDC/cold sealant
Design reason: PVDC and VMPET are both high-barrier materials. Cold sealants can be sealed at very low temperatures, and heat will not affect the chocolate. Since nuts contain a lot of oil and are prone to oxidation and deterioration, an oxygen barrier layer is added to the structure.
11. Beverage packaging bags
Packaging requirements: pH value of acidic drinks <4.5, pasteurization, general barrier properties. The pH value of neutral drinks is >4.5, which means they have high sterilization and barrier properties.
Design structure: Acid drinks: PET/PE (CPP), BOPA/PE (CPP), PET/VMPET/PE Neutral drinks: PET/AL/CPP, PET/AL/PA/CPP, PET/AL/PET/CPP ,PA/AL/CPP
Design reason: For acidic beverages, PET and PA can provide good barrier properties and resist pasteurization. The acidity extends the shelf life. For neutral beverages, AL provides the best barrier properties, high strength of PET and PA, and high temperature sterilization resistance.
